Dressing tools
The dressing tools are used for conditioning the grinding wheel.
Ceramic grinding wheels with corundum, silicon carbide, diamond, and CBN grains lose their profile accuracy and cutting ability during use, which is why they must undergo a dressing process.
On cylindrical wheels and wheels with a slight profile, this is done using single-point or multi-point dressing diamonds as well as dressing plates.
Greater accuracies or more complex profiles call for a high-precision dressing roller.
