Transport and storage

Safety starts during transport and storage.
Our tools leave our production facility properly tested and perfectly protected. Upon taking receipt of the wheels, please inspect them for possible damage. This is done with a close visual inspection and by an acoustic test.

The acoustic test is performed by gently tapping the wheel with a hammer and listening to the sound waves that are produced to identify any (internal) stress or damage.

You should store the wheels vertically if possible, making sure that the surroundings are dry and free from frost and the storage location is protected against heat and vibration.

There is no maximum storage duration for ceramic bond grinding wheels.
A storage duration of 3 years should not be exceeded for resin bond (bakelite) grinding wheels as drying (embrittlement) can reduce the strength.

We recommend carrying out an acoustic test immediately before clamping.
